IVIM

Transforming clinical weight loss into a supportive lifestyle ritual

When IVIM launched its telehealth weight loss service, the goal was to offer a more personal, whole-person approach to GLP-1 therapy. To help bring that experience to life, the brand partnered with Zenpack to create a physical packaging system that felt both trustworthy and caring. From welcome kits to supplement bags, every detail was designed to make the clinical experience feel more approachable at home.

The Problem

As IVIM prepared to launch a new supplement line alongside its core GLP-1 prescription business, it ran into a branding challenge: they lacked physical touchpoints to express what made the brand different. IVIM’s model is built around membership and highly personalized supplement plans tailored to needs like sleep, stress, and energy. That meant the packaging needed to do more than look polished. It had to feel medically trustworthy while also fitting naturally into everyday life. Starting a GLP-1 journey can also feel overwhelming. A plain box filled with loose vials and needles would do little to reassure patients. The packaging needed to create a better first impression—one that felt organized, calming, and supportive from the moment it was opened.

The Outcome

Zenpack created a full packaging system designed to fit into the patient’s daily routine. The launch featured two welcome kit experiences—Premium and Standard—with a durable cold storage pouch included exclusively in the Premium tier. Both kits are built with corrugated outer shippers, custom paper inserts, and clean interior graphics, with gold-foil details added to the Premium tier. We also produced supplement bags and serum bottles in multiple sizes, creating a cohesive experience that supports patients throughout their journey.

Challenges

The first challenge began with the welcome kits. The cold pouch inside the kit introduced a unique product design problem. It needed an internal divider to keep accessories organized and clean, but that divider could not block airflow. We had to find a way to let the cold move through the pouch evenly without adding bulk or taking away from the high-end look.

Since the welcome kits are the first thing customers receive from IVIM, they also carry a major business challenge. IVIM’s core offering was telehealth prescriptions for GLP-1 weight loss treatment, and this launch introduced a new line of custom supplements. Because patients had not yet seen IVIM as a lifestyle supplement brand, the packaging had to overcome a steep hurdle in customer adoption. It needed to explain the broader treatment approach clearly and show how the supplements were a necessary, holistic part of their daily care routine.

For the support products, the major challenge was creating a cohesive look across very different materials, including paperboard, plastic, textiles, and corrugated board. Finally, for the Cu Hair and Cu Cream serum packaging, we needed a way to carry detailed graphics cleanly across curved surfaces without warping, distortion, or losing the premium finish. At the same time, sustainability was a primary focus, meaning the protection of fragile components in transit using only paper-based materials.

Solution

For the cold pouch, the team created a thin paper-based shell lined with insulating foil. The internal divider keeps accessories organized while remaining thin enough for cold air to move through the case, allowing ice packs to cool the full interior evenly in the refrigerator. Because IVIM is focused on the long-term customer experience, the pouch was built as a durable, permanent product, serving as a lasting, premium touchpoint that clearly sets the brand apart.

Inside the welcome kits, structural engineering replaced traditional transit materials like plastic or foam. We designed custom paper inserts from recycled cardboard, with each piece folded to fit the components precisely. This locks everything firmly in place during shipping while keeping the unboxing experience elevated and fully recyclable.

We also turned the packaging into a guide for the user experience itself. Rather than simply placing products in a box, the welcome kits are organized to walk patients through the treatment process step by step. By presenting the medication and instructions together in a clear, intuitive layout, the packaging helps build trust, explains how each product fits into the daily routine, and supports adoption of the new supplement line.

To unify the system, we applied the same green and gray palette across every component. Careful quality control allowed us to match those colors consistently on the fabric pouch, plastic bottles, and paper supplement bags, helping the full set feel more like a premium lifestyle brand than a standard medical kit.

For the curved serum bottles, we avoided sticker labels altogether. Labels could wrinkle or stretch around the contours, so instead we applied a smooth spray-coated base directly to the plastic and then used screen printing for the artwork. The resulting graphics are crisp, clean, and seamless around every curve.

Result

Together, the packaging system reshapes how IVIM shows up in a crowded clinical market. It helps move the brand from a standard prescription provider to a trusted lifestyle companion. The organized unboxing experience reduces the intimidation of starting treatment and gives patients a clearer, more reassuring first step into the program.

Zenpack achieved that refined feel without compromising IVIM’s sustainability goals. By replacing plastic bubble wrap and foam with custom-engineered paper inserts, the welcome kits remain 100% recyclable. The result is a brand experience that feels elevated, responsible, and genuinely supportive for patients in their weight loss journey.
